After 5 years on the track, the free-to-play PC racing game will be shutting down its servers on July 14th 2015. Please use any remaining SpeedBoost by then. Purchases of SpeedBoost, as well as new registrations, have already been disabled.

When it launched in 2010, Need for Speed World brought together best-in-class action racing with an unparalleled social experience on PC. Several years on, despite a steady stream of live content, the game no longer lives up to the high standards set by the Need for Speed franchise. Faced with the need for a major overhaul, after careful review we made the tough decision to wind down support for Need for Speed World.
